1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing nabml.org, joining our Association, or participating in the National Community-Led Directory, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services immediately.
2. Membership & Accounts
- Eligibility: Membership and Directory participation are intended for adult founders and leaders (18+).
- Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials for the Directory and Member Portal. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Termination: NABML reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community standards or provide false information.
3. National Community-Led Directory Terms
The Directory is a tool to amplify Black-led educational innovation.
- Accuracy of Information: Founders are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and maintenance of their school listings.
- Vetting: While NABML provides the platform, a listing in the Directory does not constitute an official legal or safety endorsement by NABML. Families are encouraged to perform their own due diligence.
- Prohibited Use: You may not use Directory data for commercial “scraping,” mass solicitations (spam), or any purpose that undermines the sovereignty of our founders.
4. Intellectual Property
- Our Content: All logos, designs (including our proprietary maps), and “National Briefing” content are the property of NABML.
- Your Content: By posting to the Directory, you grant NABML a non-exclusive right to display your school’s name, logo, and mission for the purpose of promoting the movement. You retain full ownership of your school’s brand.
5. Payments & Refunds
- Donations: Processed via Bloomerang. Donations are generally non-refundable unless a clerical error has occurred.
- Memberships & Upgrades: Processed via Stripe. Membership dues are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future billing.
6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- “As-Is” Service: Our website and Directory are provided on an “as-is” basis. We do not guarantee 100% uptime or that all third-party content is error-free.
- Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, NABML, its Board, and its employees shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or from interactions between families and schools listed in our Directory.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold NABML harmless from any claims, losses, or legal fees resulting from your violation of these terms or the content you post to the Directory.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
